South Africa's Feed In Tariff

The feed in tariff for South Africa is one of the most attractive worldwide. However, the technology being promoted is concentrated solar. Overall, the tariff is wonderful, but it is directed toward large scale generation and completely leaves out the technology most accessible to the public and smaller investors - Photovoltaics. While it is obviously slanted toward assisting utility providers, the feed in tariff will still encourage large scale investment.
One thumb up for a wonderful program which provides the opportunity for solar investors, the other thumb down for limiting access to the general public.
