Lithuania has a feed in tariff!
The news shocked us and we still haven't fully recovered, since we previously rated Lithuania with a John Stewart Facepalm. Luckily, one of our colleagues from Lithuania (Mindaugas Jarusevicius) set us straight and we updated the tariff accordingly. The tariff itself isn't half bad, however the term of viability is limited to 12 years. Also a market cap of 50MW is in place, so the local market demand should quickly meet this rather low bar. After plugging the information into our calculation model, the return works out profitably in the long run. Congratulations Lithuania - you get one thumb up. The other thumb is however searching for more attractive term limits and higher market caps.
We are still a little traumatized by the sight of feed in tariffs cut short by unrealistically low caps.
