The Czech Republic has probably the best feed in tariff out there. The solar radiation values are attractive and the tariff seems to have been designed with investors in mind. It seems that the Czech people understand that the best way to attract investment dollars is to make an industry profitable. And that typically the added cost can be passed to end customers of the power generated who will happily pay 2 bucks more a month to breathe and drink cleaner air and water. Also by attracting investors, the Czech Republic gets to enjoy all of the jobs and added value that PV brings with it.
Not only is the Czech Republic feed in tariff good, it is easy to understand and straightforward. The "Green Bonus" is calculated as [retail energy cost + green bonus]. The PV power plant owner may choose either the feed in tariff or the green bonus option.
I applaud you Czech Republic! It takes cajones to legislate something coal industry and energy special interests don't like. Keep up the good work!
