The solar energy feed in tariff in Argentina is one of the few in South America. The system was created by a national fund for renewable energy promotion and serves the purpose of making solar energy at least marginally attractive in the region. As module prices fall and energy costs continue to increase, eventually the program will allow for more profitable investments. Although the cost of energy is not uniform throughout the country, it is a step in the right direction.
